Statement
The Two Oceans Graduate Institute (TOGI) acknowledges the concerns raised by our PGCE students regarding delays in SACE registration.
We wish to clarify that the current delays are the result of a national policy enforcement aligned with the Minimum Requirements for Teacher Education Qualifications (MRTEQ), which requires all PGCE qualifications to undergo verification by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) prior to SACE registration.
This process applies to all higher education institutions offering PGCE programmes across South Africa and is not specific to TOGI.
TOGI remains fully compliant with all regulatory requirements and continues to engage directly with DHET and SACE to support our students through this process. We are committed to ensuring that every qualifying student receives the necessary guidance and support until their registration is successfully completed.
We encourage students to remain patient during this national transition and to stay in contact with our academic support office for updates and assistance.
We thank our students and stakeholders for their understanding and continued trust in TOGI.
