I have a passion for learning and consider myself a life-long learner. I completed my B Ed and B Ed Honours at the University of the Western Cape and have nine yearsteaching experience. In addition I am a Registered Counsellor with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and a Phono-Graphix Reading Therapist. My combined knowledge of the curriculum and counselling skills as a registered counsellor enables me to work with school children, families and the school system to provide effective intervention strategies and developmental plans. I am currently completing my Masters in Educational Psychology with the focus on using a constructivist approach to teaching mathematics for understanding. My aim is to mentor aspiring teachers and continue to make a positive change in the school environment.
